Open Sarathi Parivahan & Select State

Visit sarathi.parivahan.gov.in, choose your state of residence, and click "Apply for Learner Licence".

Select Vehicle Class (MCWG / LMV)

Select whether you are applying for Motorcycle with Gear (MCWG - Two Wheeler) or Light Motor Vehicle (LMV - Car/Four Wheeler), or both.

Pay Government Fee Online (₹150 + ₹50 Test Fee)

Pay the statutory fee of ₹150 for licence issue plus ₹50 for the online computer-based knowledge test.

Watch Road Safety Tutorial & Take Online Test

Watch the mandatory 10-minute MoRTH road safety video tutorial and take the 15-question multiple choice test (Passing score: 9 out of 15).

Instant PDF Download (Valid for 6 Months)

Upon passing, your official Learner's Licence is generated immediately with a unique LL number. You can apply for a Permanent Driving Licence after 30 days.
